Trinity Laban offers new music scholarships for Indian students

The British Council launches its GREAT Scholarship scheme for 2016-17, working with Trinity Laban to provide opportunities for talented Indian musicians to study in Britain.

The GREAT Scholarship scheme is the product of collaboration between British and Indian governments, who have hailed 2016 as the ‘UK-India year of Education, Research and Innovation’. Over 291 scholarships and bursaries have been developed in partnership with 45 different Higher Education institutions across Britain.

Trinity Laban now offers two new music scholarships for the academic year 2016-17. They are available to Indian postgraduate students who demonstrate musical excellence, and both are worth £15,500.

Trinity Laban is the only conservatoire in the UK to participate in the GREAT Scholarships initiative, thereby retaining its role as a leader for international development in arts education and innovation.

If you fulfil the criteria for these scholarships and would like to know more, please contact [email protected].

In order to be considered for the award, applicants must apply on UCAS Conservatoires by 23 May. Trinity Laban expects to confirm the recipients by the end of June.
