Monte Music Festival, Goa: 3rd – 5th February 2017

The Monte Music Festival, presented by Fundação Oriente and Cidade de Goa, is back for the 15th year to captivate Western and Eastern music enthusiasts. The Festival will be held from Friday, February 3rd 2017 to Sunday 5th February 2017 at the Chapel of Our Lady of Mount, Old Goa.

With its first edition in 2002, after the restoration of the Chapel by Fundação Oriente, the festival has continuously garnered attention and interest from those who appreciate Western and Eastern music and dance forms.

Presented at one of the most spectacular locations in the state, the festival is a unique event, which has carved a niche of its own among the festivals held in Goa.  Every year, the Monte Music Festival has the privilege to count on a growing audience from all walks of life that make a pilgrimage to the ancient chapel to satiate their craving and love for performing arts.

With performances held inside the old heritage chapel and in the courtyard with a backdrop of the picturesque Chorão and Divar islands and the River Mandovi, the festival begins at sunset and goes on till about 9pm. International, national and local artists are chosen to be a part of this celebration of  cultural dialogue, heritage, music and dance.

The performances inside the Chapel will require passes, which can be collected from Fundação Oriente during office hours from 30th of January 2017.

Travel and Parking: To avert traffic congestion, no parking is allowed at the venue. For your convenience a complimentary shuttle service to the venue will be provided from Gandhi Circle, Old Goa and foot of the Mount.
