Trio Magic – Piano, Violin and Voice concert

Neville Bharucha – Pianist:

Neville, now 24 started piano lessons with his father when he was 4 and was soon composing short pieces. He placed first at the CON BRIO All India Piano Competition held in Mumbai in July 2011.

Neville continued his piano studies in Bangalore with Russian concert pianist Natallia Kapylova while pursuing his undergraduate degree at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore and also

obtained his Licentiate Diploma from The Trinity College, London (LTCL) in 2011.

In November 2014, Neville earned his Master’s Degree in Music Performance, with Distinction, from The University of Southampton, England, where he studied under renowned pianist and composer, David Owen Norris.

He is the winner of the 24th Ennio Porrino International Piano Competition held in Cagliari, Italy in Nov 2015. In February 2016, he awarded the Kerr Memorial Prize for Outstanding

Musicianship at the Royal Overseas League Competition, London.

Steinway and Sons have endorsed him as a “Young Steinway Artist” and he is a recipient of the Elfrun – Gabriel Stipendium 2017 – 2018. Neville has successfully completed a second Master’s Degree in Composition for Moving Images at City University, London and is now doing his Meisterklassenexam degree at The Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig, Germany.

Arun Rozario – Violin

In his formative years, he has studied under some of the best violin teachers in the country including concert violinist Jody McComb (USA) and the late Mr. Assey. He won scholarships to train and perform with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYOC) in 2012 and 2013, and toured with them for concerts in both Canada & the USA. He recently returned from the much sought after strings program at Domaine Forget in Quebec – Canada. Last year he studies and performed in Italy under some of the world’s best violinists.

Awarded with a Licentiate in Violin performance from the ABRSM, he is a strong soloist and an inspiration to younger talent in India. He is an active member and leader in the Indian National Youth Orchestra and is one of the few in India who has successfully completed his Licentiate (LRSM) in violin performance.

Arun is a seasoned Violinist and a qualified Electronics Engineer with over 6 years of Corporate and Management experience and over 15 years of teaching the violin. As the founder of the VioVoi Music Academy in Bangalore he aims at imparting quality western classical music education in India and aiding aspiring musicians to study in India and overseas. Often Arun’s students made a clean sweep at the ABRSM exams as they secured the Fewkes Memorial Trophy and the Thumboochetty Violin prize for the junior and senior categories of Violin. He also mentors his students for Competitions and international music examinations.

Tanisha Herbert – Mezzo soprano

Tanisha is a seasoned performer and regularly gives solo, choir and Opera concerts throughout India. She has participated in Masterclasses from some of the world’s best including Gramophone award winner Benjamin Appl. Her accolades include having being the first ever Indian chosen to participate in the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy and winning the Theme Kawai Rolling Trophy for Best Musician for 2011 and 2012. Her students include several distinction holders, national and international competition winners.

Apart from several choir concerts and solo recitals, here are some of her more recent works. In 2013 she played Juliette in Benjamin Britten’s Opera ‘The little Sweep’. 2014 saw her play Belinda in the all-India touring production of the Opera ‘Dido and Aeneas’ and in 2016 she sang with the Giving Voice to India Society chorus and the Symphony of India in ‘The Planets’ by Gustav Holst at National Center for Performing Arts in Mumbai. In 2017 she was a soloist for Vivaldi’s Gloria production in Bangalore.

Tanisha is among the handful of Vocal Trainers in India to have been awarded a Licentiate level Diploma in Classical singing performance and a Diploma in Teaching the Principles of Music. As Choir Director of the very successful Choir ‘The Bangalore Chamber Singers’, she continues to take voices from strength to strength at the VioVoi Music Academy.
