Giving Voice to India Workshops

July 20, 2019 @ 9:30 am

India has vocal talent in abundance. Giving Voice Society is a music foundation that takes that talent and develops it. We invite Indian students to develop their abilities to the fullest with our western vocal music courses. GVS has a unique formula addressing all aspects of singing, from technical to interpretation and language.

Giving Voice Society is now ten years old. We have taught hundreds of students, produced concerts and four operas in India, and sent our most gifted singers abroad for international study.

GVS is the brainchild of India’s acclaimed soprano Patricia Rozario, Professor of Voice at London’s Royal College of Music, and her husband, renowned pianist Mark Troop. They wanted to add a permanent resource to India’s music education, and devised a modular singing programme allowing them to teach on a regular basis.

“The masterclasses are simply amazing. It’s incredible to hear your voice improve in just 5 days by working on technique with Patricia.” – ANUSHKA COUTINHO

“GVS is the best thing that ever happened for western classical vocal music in India. Patricia and Mark have raised the standard for students, teachers and audiences alike.” – SUBIN SEBASTIAN

“The course was an eye opener into my own talents. Overall it was an amazing experience. Would recommend this to any music lover and vocalist.” – AKHIL POTDAR
