Rhys Concessao, a young pianist is passionate about playing the piano. He started learning piano at the age of 5 and at age 11 was accepted into the top specialist music school, The Purcell School for Young Musicians, UK with a scholarship. He is also a Sir Elton John Scholar at the Royal Academy of Music, UK. At the age of 13, he is already a performer on the world’s best stages, like the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City, Queen Elizabeth Hall Southbank Centre in London, Teatr Polski in Warsaw and several others in Germany, Italy and Singapore. He is the winner of multiple awards including the Evangelia Tjiarri International Piano Competition, Reading Symphony Orchestra Young Musicians Competition, EPTA, IBLA Most Distinguished Pianist Award and the Young Talent Encouragement award and American Protégé International. He is also the Music Ambassador for the Láng Lǎng International Music Foundation, a very prestigious foundation in the musical world. Over the last few years, he has given numerous solo recitals.
