Darwin Leonard Prakash is an Indian Baritone currently pursuing Advanced Diploma in Opera at the Royal Academy of Music. He is taught by Prof. Mark Wildman and coached by Ingrid Surgenor. He completed his MA Vocal Performance from Royal Academy of Music in 2017 prior to which he graduated as a Geologist from University of Delhi in 2014. He started his vocal studies under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Alderson in Manchester after being discovered in Delhi in 2014 and was briefly taught by Situ Singh Buehler in Delhi. He was the recipient of the inaugural Gus Christie Award in 2016 at Glyndebourne and was placed second in the Richard Lewis/Jean Shanks Competition at the Royal Academy of Music.
